Ramblin' On

If you enjoy things like "music" and "pleasant sounds," then you probably love the Band and Levon Helm. Their music, as you're well aware, has been prominently featured on the Imus program for many years.

So here's my question: What are your five favorite songs by Levon and/or the Band? Cover songs can count as well.

Also, Levon might be coming to a town near you. You never know!

Oh, and on that note, a question: Did the poor dirt farmer ever find his corn? I don't think they ever gave us the answer to that one

CG --

Levon was great at the Ryman last week -- maybe he's helping the poor old dirt farmer look for his corn on a swing down South.

Some favorites, in no particular order:
Got Me a Woman
I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to be Free
The Weight
You Better Move On
Tennessee Jed

Wow, Dagen was "downstairs" today! She looks better down there with Charles and Imus behind her. ;)

Haha, yay for Dagan!

It's tough, but my 5 favorite songs are probably:

-Life is a Carnival (always fun to crank up on Mardi Gras)
-The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
-Long Black Veil
-I Shall Be Released
-When I Paint My Masterpiece

There are about five or six others that could EASILY go on there, though.

My Word Verification is "ingrew," which sounds like something the dirt farmer would say to his podiatrist. ("I got me an ingrew toenail, dagnabbit!")
