Still Life

So I'm not sure if I should post these photos from the golf tournament. On the one hand, there are a lot of great pictures in the slideshow. On the other hand, the life-size mannequin will haunt my nightmares for weeks to come. So it's a tough call.

I will say, though, that some of the attendees had some interesting "interactions" with the mannequin, particularly on page 2...

It's hard to say without more info but my guess would be either:

(a) Rob and Tony are performing holdhis**** medicine (rhymes with 'stick'). Or ...

(2) Someone lost a bottle cap.

I just got my copy of "Burying Don Imus". I don't even read my medical books this much - strongly recommend! :)

"Where's Cavuto?"...

Guess the listeners are gonna have to get used to hearing Imus ask that question on a regular basis now, eh?...

Where's Rob?

Rob is in the hospital with kidney stones.

Is that code for something or is Rob really passing kidney stones?

DL said...

Yup it's true. Imus first announced early that Rob was in the hopital and later disclosed he got an email from Rob saying he had a kidney stone the size of a "babies head". Or something like that. Imus offered, "I had one once but passed it easily due to the size of my ........."

Yo, check it out, Imus has himself a FOX Business Report girl!

...and so far FOX news person, Sandra Smith hasn't freaked out working with Imus. Looks like she will be able to hold her own against the I-Man.

I've been hoping the move to FBN would bring more energy to the show. So far so good. Great week!

Craig Crawford put up Imus's interview with Neil Cavuto Friday (video) on his blog. Craig is appearing on Oct 8th (Thursday) It looks like Imus is going to be able to keep his regular guest in rotation.

http://blogs.cqpolitics.com/trailmix/2009/10/play-of-the-week.html

There was some thought that going to FBN would be a problem for the regular guest line up?

WTKK dials back Don Imus, tunes into local talent
By Jay Fitzgerald
Saturday, October 3, 2009 - Updated 2h ago

WTKK-FM is cutting back Don Imus and bringing in the locals to shore up its morning-drive slot in the highly competitive radio battle for commuting listeners in Boston.

Starting Monday, the Greater Media-owned WTKK is moving the “Jim and Margery Show” - hosted by Jim Braude and Margery Eagan - to the coveted 7 a.m.-to-10 a.m. slot.

Imus, who used to broadcast from 5 to 9 a.m., will have the last two hours of his show lopped off, as he prepares to start simulcast broadcasting of his nationally syndicated show on Fox Business Network.

Braude, who also has a nightly news show on NECN, and Eagan, a columnist for the Herald, had been on the air from noon to 3 p.m. each weekday.

It’s a big step up for the duo, who have broadcast their popular show for nearly a decade. They’ll now be going up against morning powerhouses Matt Siegel on KISS 108, “Dennis & Callahan” on WEEI-AM and news station stalwart WBZ-AM.

The Braude-Eagan shuffle forced adjustments at other time slots on WTKK.

Michael Graham (formerly 9 to noon) will broadcast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jay Severin (formerly 3-7 p.m.) will air from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Michele McPhee gets nudged into the afternoon drive-time slot, switching from 7-10 p.m. to 6-10 p.m.

Some of the WTKK jocks are getting an extra hour of on-air work.

“We’re making some scheduling adjustments to reflect our constant efforts to provide more local content to our loyal listeners,” said Greater Media spokeswoman Heidi Raphael.
