And That Was The Way It Was

Yay, the show returns on Monday!

-Rob Bartlett will appear at the Paramount Theatre in Rutland, VT this Saturday, July 25. TIckets are here and more information is here.

-RIP Walter Cronkite. I fondly recall his appearance with Imus in the fall of 2006, shortly before Katie Couric started working at CBS. In the midst of their conversation, Imus casually asked for Mr. Cronkite's opinion of her taking his old job. Cronkite looked shocked. "WHAT?" he yelled. "They allow WOMEN on the NEWS?!" Meanwhile Charles, who sat to his right, nearly wet himself laughing.

No, seriously, he will be missed.

Apparently, IITM ratings are not great. You can read more here.

Good thing he still seems to have the ability to attract advertisers even with numbers like that.

The show, except for some days, remains a tired formula. Something needs to change

Show was great when Bernie was the driving force...Bernie used to lead the I-Man into all kinds of uncharted territory...

Of course they ultimately gor fired using that approach.

So, listeners have to endure pc, corporate, well-behaved IITM these days.

I think it is the simulcast holding them back, they need to go on a Fox Network or Spike maybe, the Man Channel, than The Godfather can feel comfortable telling everyone to ACT LIKE A MAN! LOL

What has everyone thought of the shows on Tuesday and Wednesday? Did they improve? I haven't listened to this morning's yet, but Bob Schieffer and some of the dialogue on Tuesday were good
