Writer's Block

Yeah, I've been rocking that for the past few days, and I apologize. So in lieu of me actually being creative, here's another, better idea for a post: List your favorite recent lines from the program. By "recent," I mean from the past week or so.

There are many, but for some reason this one in particular made me laugh: "Charles knows absolutely nothing about technology. If you gave him an Ipod, he'd try to eat it."

Imus to Mike Lupica "Lets fly the clue flag, and see if you can salute it" TOO FUNNY.

"What are the futures doing this morning, Charles?"

I know it's not recent, but I only "recently" began to appreciate it when I went onto Yahoo! Finance the other day at 9:15 and read the futures report...

"I'll tell you which doctor I'm going with when I get a sponsor".

Perfect Imus -- love it.

This is not so recent.

Imus refering to one of his treatment options as a, " Radiation Wiener Roast". Too funny.

Rob was fantastic last night!!! He even chased a woman who left midway through his set to head to the Ladies room, with Rob cussing her out all the way:

"Real Women can hold it until the show's over!!!"

Thankfully, I an a Real woman...even after downing two bottles of Poland Spring.

CG, you're gonna have to pony up that cheddar to see Bartlett...it's really a great show. Well worth the trip...

Here's another item from the Sturday show:

Another reason to shut off cell phones when you are seeing a comedian:

Some guy's phone went off, and Rob is asking the guy who was it, then gets off the stage and grabs the phone to carry on the conversation...guess the fellow whose cell phone it was runs a nursing home and the person on the main desk was calling because she couldn't turn off the alarm:

Rob: So, what's your name?
(pause)
Nancy...and who am I?
(pause)
My name is Roberto Bartletto, and I am the manager of the Music Hall... ( audience laughs)
Well, what happened, an old lady escaped?
(pause)

OH...she's trying to get IN? ( audience laughs) And you need to talk to Fred because...why can't you call the alarm company?
(pause)
Because you need the authorization code from Fred to turn off the alarm..
(at this point, the crowd is shouting "GIVE HER THE CODE, FRED!!" and are laughing hysterically)

Well, you don't NEED the old lady to come in, do you? ( laughter)
(pause)
At this point Rob gives the phone back to Fred...

(laughter and applause) Fred leaves and is not seen again.

To the best of my knowledge...

"I hung him OUT THE WINDOW!!! FROM THE ANKLES!!!!!" Nice.

Also: I enjoyed Julie's review of the "little-known Floridian" from this morning...

And wow, I wish I had been witness to the cell phone incident on Saturday. That is amazing (and hilarious). :)
