Movin' Out

This Thursday, April 16, "Imus at Night" will be held at Mohegan Sun with a majority of the cast performing. It should be awesome. Tickets are sold out...so, then, why am I advertising this? If you bought the tickets, you're going, and if you didn't, you can't. Huh, my bad. Whoops. I guess I just wasted fifteen seconds of your life by reading this. (Or twenty, if you're a slower reader.) (Or twenty-five, if you made it this far.) (I could go all day.)

-“An Evening With Rob Bartlett” will be playing at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown , NY, next Saturday April 25. Tickets are here and directions are here.

-This Monday, April 13, the program will move from Rainbow Studios into the regular WABC studios. I'm not sure why RFD is having trouble paying the rent, but I assume it was because these were not selling as well as they'd hoped.

-Happy Easter!

We'll be at Tarrytown, along with a judge who appeared on "Law and Order" to see the magic of Rob.(It will be Ken's first time seeing Rob...no defense lawyers will be harmed during the show)

Why does RFD have a re-run on this morning? There is a new show on WABC.

RFD didn't know they were moving?

According to Imus...they are having "technical problems" over at RFD TV. From what I saw in the last week, I'd say it is more like a "difficulty" selling the program.

did tony and kerrith leave the show?

Tony and Karith have left the show ro work on their material for their big night out at the Mohegan...

Karith and Tony will have 9 minutes each to provide the sold out audience with big yucks...Rob will provide 20 minutes of yucks.

No show at all this morning on RFD. Since we got FIOS just for that, I'm glad I like the service. There is no radio reception in this house and I can't stream while I'm working, so guess I'll have to subscribe and get the podcasts.

This morning Lou said that RFD is almost ready to be back on the air with Imus in the Morning..

And speaking of Lou, he seems ALOT more engaged in the program now that Imus is back in the radio studio...

We are hearing more from both Bernie and Lou, which is GOOD!

LOVE Lou. But miss the old days when Rob and Larry used to be the ones to do the voices. Bernie's Brit this morning was only a sad reminder of how much better it would have been had one of the Voice guys had been in the studio.

Imus Rails. Lou and Bernie chime in. Charles loses his composure at the I-Man's evil,Larry nails a Cronkite. Rob goes into the stratosphere with some truly inspired spontaneous whimsy.

THAT'S the program I miss.

Why is RFD TV shooting Imus from the camera in the ceiling?

I miss those days too, "Anon." ;)

I don't have RFD, so I haven't seen the new studios; but I hate to hear that it looks so bad. Hopefully they'll be outta there soon (or, at the very least, they'll get another camera!)

QP, Tarrytown sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Incidentally, if anyone is going to Mohegan tonight/tomorrow, please share stories. It sounds like a great time. :)

Don't know how Imus at Night went, but if you want to hear an example of how one brother can drive his brother damn near crazy, listen to Imus' "interview" with Fred, which aired at around 9:30 this morning...

I've been having a discussion with a fellow radio man about the new look. Back in the day, Imus was his competition, on a small station in Everett WA. Now, no longer in radio, he's been doing a few things and watching Imus on RFD. Here's some of his comments:

''So true about the Imus TV show. All you see is the top of McCord's
and Warner Wolf's noggins. For starters, if they can't reposition the cameras, they could try putting their copy up to eye-level on some sort of stand. On the other hand, maybe they figure the average RFD viewer wouldn't even notice the difference..."

"Foster and Powell. I sized them up as only marginally funny---
and generally fast forward through them. Bartlett's always fun...but
underutilized..."

"They ( RFD-TV) seem
to give it such little effort, I wonder why they bother.."

Why, indeed.

'radio man' pretty much nailed it about Rob, Foster and Powell and RFD.

The thing is....is that Imus doesn't seem to care what we think.

It's bad that we' re stuck with just seeing the tops of their heads, though at least Charles has nice hair...;-)

Seriously, though, in terms of RFD, I think a certain Fred Imus phrased it best whilst discussing the "censorship" issue from a few weeks back: "What holier than thou piece of crap makes that decision? To me, when you censor something like that, you have just kicked our forefathers in the crotch."

Well put, Fred. Well put.

"Tune in next week for more Adventures of the F-Man!...brought to you by the F-Man's Cocoa Butter!

For F-ing smooth skin, try some of the F-Man's Cocoa Butter!

it's F-ing Great!"

If WFAN and MSNBC could put in remote control cameras, and Patrick is such a wiz, why can't they fix this camera problem?

It is my belief Imus wants out of RFD in a bad way. The reason he pushes Fox so much.

"Fred said it best". Looks like you are in the bathroom on the toilet."
