Cardinal Dolan?

Hmmm. It'll take me a while to get used to it, but I can deal. "Live from the Archdiocese of New York, here's Cardinal Dolan" doesn't sound too bad. Plus, he's still Irish.

There have been many articles written about his predecessor, including this one from the New York Times. What struck me the most was the following sentence: "As all bishops must when they turn 75, Cardinal Egan wrote to Pope Benedict XVI, in April 2007, offering to retire."

You know, if this happened in April 2007, I think I know the REAL reason he wanted to retire...

hmm, April 2007 rings a bell...

oh, that was the month that the consistently laugh-out-loud-funny, edgy, free-spirited Imus in the Morning came to an end.

Yes, some fans would definitely say that...

....but, to bring up something that I forgot to respond to in the last thread: I totally LOL'ed at Robio's "Ernest Hemingway" treatment of Charles. ;-)

This really is a sad day. RIP Paul Harvey; he was a legend.

I also believe that they'll be doing tributes to him all day tomorrow on WABC...that should be interesting.

I wonder if they'll keep his ghost around like they did with Nixon?

Sad day indeed - RIP Paul Harvey.

Another note - I think Rob could do an awesome Van Morrison if he wanted to... And, just wondering, where has Pigsfeet been lately?

Lou does a great Van Morrison!

No Pigs Feet today, but a great Andrew Dice Clay appearance!

Always sounds like Imus and Karith are having a Father(..or Grandfather) daughter conversation when they talk to each other...

3 comedians on the program and only ONE of them is funny.

I can personally attest to the fact that Pigs Feet is alive and well. Rob turned the stage over to him for awhile in Morristown Saturday night and he was in rare form.

But I, too, wish Pigs would make more radio appearances.

Did anyone hear Imus trying to hush up Bo this morning when Bo was doing his Barney Franks impersonation? The I-man was definitely not liking the direction that was headed.

Just Juan Morecow

I was actually watching the Rachel Maddow Show last night, and her guest was Barney Frank. About halfway through, I go, "Wow, he doesn't sound entirely dissimilar to Bo..." If you ever hear him talk, there are some similarities. Or I'm just crazy.

I can definitely hear the similarities...it's sort of hard to pinpoint, but I know what you mean.

Both of them have, uh, "interesting" speech patterns. :-)

Also, I know you guys were happy that Pig Feets came back today...:-)
