Golf Pics!

Rob Bartlett was gracious enough to let me post a few of his pictures from the Golf Tournament last Thursday - tremendous thanks go out to him. Enjoy:

(As for the cute little guy pictured above: There was a brief scary moment during the golf tournament when Bill Murray attacked him with a flamethrower. Fortunately Mr. Murray was subdued, and the event went on as scheduled.)

Wow,CG, those are great pics!

CG, you are now officially part of the Imus family!

Hi CG,

Thanks for the pics! Rob looks a lot better than he did at his show at Mohegan. Speaking of Mohegan, on Friday the show will be broadcasting from the casino. Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it. Are you going by any chance? And did you see Mr. and Mrs. Imus the other day?

I actually didn't go to the golf tournament...but I wish I had! So I didn't take those pictures. (I also wish I had the photography skills involved with them. Had those been mine, you'd see people out of frame and red zombie eyes everywhere...:-)

I really want to go to Mohegan - it sounds like a lot of fun, but unfortunately, I can't go. (I want to go, though...someday soon, I hope)

My husband and I adjusted our schedules, and we're going to be there bright and early Friday morning! I'll report back on how it was. I'm excited.

Glad to see the Robio looking upright, McCord looking handsome as ever and BREEN! anywhere. His recent appeaqrances have been wonderfully silly. TY CG for putting these up.

Friday is too close for me to take off work...the Nu? Year and all. Boston, also too close.

But there is a Washington DC trip that was mentioned that MAY, may be doable.

Glad Imus is bringing back the remotes.

Have faith CG, we'll all meet at a remote soon!

CG said...

That's awesome, Esme! I can't wait to hear about it!

Remotes sound like fun...I'm glad they're adding a bunch. When is the DC one?

On a different note, I just saw the expose of Gwen Ifill on Drudge just now, and I thought that maybe I should mention that. But then I decided that these pictures are too cool for Gwen Ifill, of all people, to knock off the front page...so I think I'll talk about her in a day or so. :-)

If you have a picture of Ifill tripping over her mop bucket, put it here. Otherwise, keep the golf shots. Think Imus mentioned November for DC. It was a brief mention, possibly around Erect..um, ELECTion day...

Dragging ourselves out of bed at four was difficult, and my husband and I said more than once how nutty we felt, but we were glad when we got to the Wolf Den in the casino. At 5:45 when we arrived, Bernie and Charles were working on the stage, and then, Imus was there--black cowboy hat, sunglasses, faded jeans. I can't get RFD, so it was a thrill to see them all again. Karith, Tony, and, of course, Rob as the Godfather (my favorite character). Karith is very friendly and nice--smiles a lot and made eye contact with the audience quite a bit.

I so wanted to approach Rob and tell him that I'm a fan of his and you, CG, but being the shy thing I am, I didn't. Sigh. Anyway, we sat in the second row; it's a small venue--there weren't many of us there at first, and then it filled up. We each got a black baseball cap courtesy of WABC that has "IMUS in the Morning" stitched on the back. Hot coffee, tea, and a variety of juices were set up in the back. Imus kept referring to us as "serial killers." We had to leave at 9:45, unfortunately. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Hope all of you get a chance to get to a remote. I recommend the one at Mohegan because it's such an intimate space.

Happily, Esme

Wow, Esme, that is super awesome...I wish I could have been there. I'm glad that you and your husband had a great time - thanks for sharing that. It's good to see that they are a lot of fun - now I know what to expect if I ever go. :-)

Esme,

You shoulda said 'Hi'! I would've loved to have met you guys.
The Godfather thought is was an infamnia that he didn't get a chance to meet you.

Don't hesitate next time! We don't bite. (Okay, Larry King does, sometimes)

Great report Esme! IB pea green in not being there. :)

But Rob's right. Put the fear of meeting a "STAR" aside and come up and say "hi". Bartlett's just like your neighbor, only I hope he puts on his "good" pants on where he gets the newspaper in the morning and not the ones that show the neighborhood the "crack" at dawn.

Dear Robio,

Next time my husband and I will each muster a set of coglioni and approach you for some chitchat.

I'm very glad you're up and around and feeling better.

Just don't approach too fast or with the look of fear on your face...

Otherwise you might scare them...

Easy does it and they will be happy to chit chat...

sorry, I know I post too much here...

oh, just one more note..haha.

If the rest of the Imus 'family' is as accessible as the F-Man(Fred), then you all will have no problem talking to them...

When Fred had his store in Santa Fe, a person could just walk in, and sometimes find Fred sittin' in his office with his feet up on the desk..

The F-Man would just look at you and invite you to just "Come on in"...

Oh boy, I just started my full-time job so I'm officially five shows behind. I've been avoiding this blog until I heard the tournament post-mortem, but those pics are incredible!

P.S. Did anyone see the opening skit of SNL tonight? VP debate, of course. "Joe Biden" said the words "God love him," so I'm wondering if the writing crew takes any cues from the I-Crew.

And instead of replaying the interview of the day at 9:40, Lou should just do Tom Oliphant for fifteen minutes. People on the 7 train thought I was NUTS for stifling laughs while listening to some of those segments.

My wife and I met Rob earlier this year at the Seven Angels Theater in Waterbury, CT.

We can vouch that he is totally accessible and easy going. So if you're hesitant about approaching him, you need to ... ACT LIKE A MAN!

One of my favorite pieces of clothing is a lined jean jacket from the Auto Body Express with the New Mexico flag embroided on the back. Years ago when I called to order it, Fred answered the phone! Of course, I hung up and called back later when a woman took my order. You're right, Juan, it's time for me to ACT LIKE A MAN!

I agree that Lou is great as Tom Oliphant. I love to hear Lou's contributions. And Al, I don't think you post here too much. I enjoy hearing what you have to say.
