Biden My Time

Joe Biden has been the Democratic running-mate for less than 48 hours, and already he's making verbal gaffes. The media will be trailing him constantly until November, so there's some serious potential for more. Translation? This will be an awesome two months.

My suggestion to Joe: Follow the advice of this man, and you'll be just fine.

Biden is good but can he Out Gaffe This?

Aug. 11, 2006 — “Macaca moment”: The plan was for George Allen to win a convincing reelection as Virginia senator and then pivot to the Republican presidential race in 2008. Then he got caught on video referring to a young Indian-American aide for Democrat Jim Webb as “macaca,” which means “monkey.” The uproar showed how quickly careers can blow up in the YouTube age.

Surely he is capable of Out Gaffing This

March 16, 2004 — Hari-Kerry: Speaking to a gathering of firefighters in West Virginia, Democratic candidate John F. Kerry tried to reassure the audience that his position on Iraq war funding was quite nuanced — and served up one of the most devastating sound bites in modern campaign history: “I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.”

Sen Joe is off to a good start with his introduction of Dr. Jill this past week. Still he has a way to go to out gaffe either George Allen or John Kerry
