Yay for New Affiliates

WXZO 96.7 in Willsboro, NY; WEAV 960 in Plattsburgh, NY; and WTSJ 1320 in Randolph, VT. Which, apparently, are all the same station. So they're three separate entities, in three separate locations...yet they're all the same station. This confuses and frightens me.

Also, 1450 WKIP in Poughkeepsie. Which does not have any robot clones, as far as we know.

Terrestrial radio is becoming just ONE big, happy family/radio station, with names and call letters to identify them, like little pet animals and humans...

Advertising-wise, it's totally nice to hear that the Imus in the Morning Show is SOLD OUT!

WKIP has ticked off listeners in Poughkeepsie, because the old format, of music standards, actually got ratings. I can get WKIP, but not all that well, since it is a 5kW, so I stay with WABC. (oh, and it is not a clone of anything except ClearChan)

It's odd that Imus is saying his program is sold out, but Citadel is saying something a little different. Perhaps the WABC sales staff on Crack actually went out and SIGNED a few sponsors.

Never say "SOLD OUT" when it comes to advertising on Imus, Al...

"This 'five minutes after the hour' sponsored by Bulova Watches. Bulova, get that Timex off yo' wrist."
