Well, That Was Weird

So, remember yesterday, when you turned on the TV and saw some people freaking out about your favorite show? And they were all over cnn.com and Drudge and Google, claiming that it was doomed? And then, all of a sudden, the subject practically disappeared?

Yeah. That was weird.

Yep.

There was a car chase in ElLay and the nets were all over that!

...bizarre, almost surreal...

I may never turn my television on ever again...

Speaking of weird, didn't you love what George Carlin picked out for his epitaph? "Weird, he was just here a minute ago"

I love it. I'll really miss him.

SNL is rebroadcasting their first show this weekend, which he hosted.

The only unjust situation that the I-Man has created with this comment is that now my Howard Stern-loving, Imus-hating future roommate just won't SHUT UP.

Anyone have the number for the Barnicle bus?

Out of all the coverage that I watched (and admittedly, I didn't watch much), my favorite moment was on Greta's show on Fox. In the bottom right-hand corner of her screen, they had a teeny-tiny icon of the Imus Corpse Photo from Al Sharpton's show. And it was blue-tinted. And rotating. Now THAT was a heinous moment in graphic design.

I need to watch that George Carlin special...I have never seen the first episode, and I'm a big fan of SNL (well, *good* SNL, anyway :P). Thanks for the heads-up.

Mike, that is not cool about the Stern roomie and his antics. Tell him that Imus fans are better. Or, "If you say that one more time, I won't do the dishes when it's my turn." Either way...:-)

Phew, yes it seems to have faded away! I'm glad I didn't watch any further coverage after I heard the first report. Now I just hope the guys on my second-favorite show (Mike and the Mad Dog) hold themselves together. They were extremely supportive of Imus last year, and I do love their show; it makes me laugh.

That was me above, CG. Don't know what I did to come across as anonymous, except that I'm over 50 and forgetting a lot more than how to leave a comment on your blog!

CG,
When it becomes available, PLEASE totally post the e-mail that Imus sent to David Hinkley, regarding the 'events' of this week...

I would LOVE to see that email...

Esme, I'm crossing my fingers about M&MD. It would be a shame if they broke up...let's hope that Mike comes to his senses.
