Lovable, Huggable, and Funny

Your Friday morning Imus roundup:

-The always excellent Neil Best did a profile on Warner Wolf. It appears that he's in for the long haul, which is beyond exciting. By the way, Bernard was the one who described him with the title quote.

-"That's some nappy-headed prose there!"

-David Hinckley profiled the Elf-Tones yesterday. It'll be interesting to hear them this morning. Hopefully they'll be better than "Mrs Robinson".

This was a great show today I loved Rudy and the Elf Tones.

They mentioned Neil Best newsday article in the first half hour.

Marty is blogging about page 6 in her blog Chickaboomer.

College Girl,

I miss Mayor Nagin and the coverage Michelle Malkin has an update on the disappearing and reappearing Mayor of New Orleans....hmm. Arlo Guthrie was famous for his song "City of New Orleans" there really is 6 degrees of seperation from Imus SMILE.

Considering the fact that 'Imus in the Morning' has moved up to the HIGHLY mainstream and conservative WABC, the days of appearances by Mayor Nagin and Cardinal Egan are probably over...

Imus in the Morning HAS to be much tamer these days....and the show really ain't been to bad, in light of the NEW behavior 'rules' that Imus seems to be under...

Al,

I am just coming around tp your point about the characters, Mayor Nagin and Cardinal Egan. You have probably put it more gently then other Imus fans. I guess I am going to have to be happy, with a page 6, each week SMILE.

Well, laree, every day I still marvel at the fact that Imus is at WABC!...pretty much the biggest of the Big Time talk radio stations in the Country!...

He probably could have gone to a lesser market or Satellite radio and unleashed Cardinal Egan, Mayor Nagin, etc. again, but he chose to put himself in this mainstream, establishment, conservative atmosphere, which means that 'Imus in the Morning' has to improve their 'manners' just a tad...

Yeah, Page 6 is fine, and as time goes on, they will probably loosen up more, as they go along and figure out what they can get away with...

The Elftones were great!

And yes, I do miss Cardinal Egan a lot, but perhaps they'll work him in later. Nagin can go the way of the earth (the caricature, not the person :)).

Al, Matt,

I hope if the Cardinal and Nagin characters don't comeback some new ones take there place. Bernard McGuirk is plain funny!

Al, I remember once Imus mentioned if he went to satelite, that would sell alot of radios.

I wake up every morning to the Reality, that someone is going to shove something politically correct in my face. Then be angry with me, when I won't respond, the way they want. "I refuse to go to their re education camps"

I may be wrong but I am putting alot of my eggs in the Internet basket, to turn this trend around.
