Hi CollegeGirl, LOL on your 'subliminal' take on the Imus logo. It reminds me of the Chrysler Building, standing tall and proud with its crown/spire jabbing at the skyline, not unlike Imus. An iconic favorite -- strong, fierce, unyielding. And the cowboy leaning on it, either resting after a day of hard work, or pondering which battle to take on next.Or, as Freud said, sometimes a banana is just a banana -- and maybe it is just a syringe!!!
Hey Phyllis! You're right about the Chrysler Building - that's what the artist was aiming for. It completely resembles it. I just wish they had made the spire a little bit shorter, LOL. But I love your description and interpretation of it - very fitting and poetic. I'll take that one over my own immature-12-year-old-boy interpretation any day. :-)
Imus be leanin', biding his time...contemplatin' his first day back..."DON IMUS EXPECTED TO GET SOME PAYBACK MONDAY: Roker, Russert, Ford Jr., Newsweek editors reportedly in line of fire"I totally love that headline!!
College Girl,Cowboy in New York, Rural meets Urban.
Funny thing about the Cowboy in New York...So far, all the radio stations that are set to carry Imus are in the East Coast...Out here in the West and Southwest...Cowboy Country...Imus is, like, no big deal.
Al,They are planning on protesting the Boston Radio channel. I for one would let them. It isn't how I would choose to use my time...to each their own. They are milking NHH for all it's worth, all they are doing is keeping Imus in the News and Current. I do believe the radio syndication will spread pretty fast after the ratings start coming in. All Imus needs is ears and eyeballs, there is a couple of sponsors already, that you can tell, won't pull out their support....Hackensack and Hanley.
LOL Al - awesome headline!
Laree, that's a really good way to look at the Boston protests.
