In Praise of Hackensack

On this morning's Fox and Friends, Geraldo Rivera noted that he had taken the week off because of his daughter's sudden illness. (Fortunately, she is now doing well.) Rivera credits her recovery to the facility that treated her - none other than the pediatric wing of the Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey. And who, pray tell, has raised over $40 million for the pediatric wing of Hackensack Medical Center?

In this video, Geraldo tells the Fox viewers about Imus' work for the center. Say what you will about Geraldo and his previous journalistic efforts, but in this morning's segment, he was solid.

College Girl,

Geraldo gets caught up in being a tv personality...I do have empathy for him and his family. I hope this opens his eyes he slows down a little and treats others with the same understanding and care he has been treated with. I think the cablenews business is cut-throat. I hope Geraldo came away with empathy is a two way street with himself and the medical situation they went through and btw Rutgers and Imus. I guess I am saying, let him apply his new wisdom outward.

Geraldo needs to get some 'Greening the Cleaning" products from Dierdre!

And on WABC this morning, someone heard the IMUS duck quack - quack sound at the top of the 8'oclock hour this morning after a promo...

Got the following comment from NY Message Board concerning the Imus duck, quack quack.....

WABC is using it as an hourly time tone leading up to Dec. 3. "It's 8 o'clock -- quack quack." Great idea ... clever promo!

OK, for doing that, WABC is AWESOME. Thanks for the tip. :-)

Wow, NO syndication of Imus until January...

So, it's only WABC, the Internet or RFD TV...at least until 2008.
